Canadian born, Joanne came to the Hudson Valley in 1989 after living in New York City for many years.

She holds a BA in studio art from Bard College, and has also studied drawing and painting at the New School, Brooklyn Museum School, Parsons, and the Art Students League. Originally an artist who used acrylics, Joanne has been studying watercolor with Betsy Jacaruso for the past four years. Her paintings have been shown at the Jacaruso Gallery, Morton Library, Mid-Hudson Valley Credit Union, Duck Pond Gallery, ASK, ArtSpace, and ArtPop..
