Years ago as a teenager and in my early twenties, my enthusiasm for painting was enormous. I took advantage of every instruction available. I attended Ulster Community College for art courses with John Locke, and summer sessions at Art Students League with Robert Angeloch in Woodstock. I took a correspondence course at the Washington School of Art and briefly attended John Pike watercolor sessions. During those years I was a member of Ulster County Art Association. However, medicine and nursing attracted me also, and so I pursued a forty year career as an RN. After retiring, I decided to revisit my past interest in art. These last three years I’ve been studying watercolor with Mira Fink in Port Ewen and Betsy Jacaruso in Rhinebeck. I’m currently living in Kingston and am a member of ASK and Cross River Fine Arts. |
