After a 30-year career as the Rhinebeck H.S. librarian, I feel that I have come full circle.  An Art History major at Syracuse University (1968), I studied watercolor painting with Marj Wheeler in the 1980s.  Upon retirement in 2003, I took up painting again, studying watercolors with Betsy Jacaruso and Staats Fasoldt, and pastels with Keith Gunderson.

As an active member of Cross River Fine Art, an art collective of watercolorists, I have been exhibiting at The Betsy Jacaruso Gallery in Rhinebeck, NY.  I am also a member of the Woodstock Artists Association.

I have exhibited at the Arts Society of Kingston, the Woodstock School of Art, the Woodstock Artists Assoc. and Museum, Red Hook CAN and Art Along the Hudson.  For the past two years I’ve shown my work in small group shows at At the Top Gallery in Rhinebeck.

The inspiration for my art is simply the beauty of the world around me, whether it be the majestic Hudson River, a vineyard in Tuscany or a perfect anemone.
